Apple Lawyer Defends Right to iTunes Logo - Yahoo! News

Apple Lawyer Defends Right to iTunes Logo - Yahoo! News

Lawyers... can be paid to say anything... "Sure we signed U2, but we are not a record company"....

So, Apple wants to lecture me about Copyright law..

So, I just re-installed Apple Computer's iTunes program yesterday.
While installing it, of course I had to click on the "usual" warning screen telling me about not violating anybody's copyrights and that I am only licensing the software and bla bla bla.
And right there the irony of it all struck me: The Beatles trademarked "Apple" as theirs already in the 60s, and were kind enough to license the name to Apple Computer in the 80s.
Apple Computer only obtained the rights to use the Apple name on their computers from the Beatles under the condition that they would NOT ever enter the music business.
Apple Corp has repeatedly sued Apple Computer for violating the original agreement and a judgement is pending in the current law suit...

So, here's Apple Computer, a company which only exists in the music business as a result of an unlawful violation of their own licensing agreement of the Apple trademark from The Beatles, teaching ME about adhering to copyright laws.
Oh, one has to chuckle with a devilish smile...
